Mixed bag

I just feel the need to post. Although about what, I don’t know. For the last few days I have logged on with full intentions of writing some long thought out blog on what new Spiritual things I have learned, but I can’t seem to think of anything but blank-ness!
You know, my head has been spinning lately. What I am loving most, is that there is no set ‘theme’ to what I have been learning. Probably the most amazing revelation (I am sorta embarrassed that it’s taken me this long to figure this out!) is how God reveals Himself to us in absolutely everything. Everywhere I look, He is there. Everything I say, hear or do, He is there. How awesome is that? Since He has opened my eyes, I can’t believe how much of the Holy Spirit works through everyday happenings.
I am getting baptized soon! I can’t wait! I have always felt a strong conviction to get baptized, but I stubbornly fought against it. Everyone was getting baptized and for me it sort of lost its meaning for a while. I could sit here on my high horse and cynically type out why and how I became so ‘baptism hardened’ but that’s all in the past now, there’s no point trying to explain my stupendously stupid ways of thinking.
The moral of the story is…trying to act grown up before you’re actually grown up just makes you look silly. God knows all and He knows our hearts. So let’s cut the crap and do what pleases Him. Making excuses for ourselves doesn’t do us or HIM any favours.
So in conclusion, there is no conclusion. This post has no set meaning or ‘moral’. These are just the tiniest of dilemmas of what’s been bouncing around upstairs in cranium town.

LOl, you’re too cute Abi!
I think getting baptised is a wonderful idea. It is a very special time, and really should be done when your heart is in the right place with it. And now it is. Congratulations! Let us know all about your experience of baptism…
